The PhD Scholarship scheme covers a full three-year PhD programme, but it does not cover funding gaps for PhD students who have already started their studies or have obtained part funding elsewhere.

Alzheimer's Research UK does not fund care or service delivery research, clinical trials, drug discovery, or international fees. It also does not cover funding gaps for PhD students who have already started their studies or have obtained part funding elsewhere. If a grant applicant has more than 12 months remaining on an existing award with a significant ARUK contribution at the time of application, they are not eligible to apply for a Major project grant.
