The Foundation funds work in the performing arts—including music, theatre, and dance—as well as heritage crafts. It supports projects that deliver lasting impact, such as training programmes, work experience placements, professional pathways, music therapy initiatives, youth orchestras, and technical theatre placements. Scholarships are also offered through partner institutions to support individual development. All funding is directed at initiatives across the UK that build skills, confidence, and diversity in the arts.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities, community interest companies, community groups, and academic institutions operating across the UK. The Foundation prioritises initiatives that benefit disadvantaged youth, under-represented groups, and individuals with limited access to the arts. While there are no income thresholds, the Foundation looks for strong governance and the potential for high-impact delivery. The focus is on organisations that can demonstrate a commitment to building skills, confidence, and diversity in the arts.

The Foundation does not fund one-off events, capital works, raffles, or direct individual scholarships. It also excludes unrestricted core costs. These exclusions reflect its focus on project-based support that delivers lasting impact through structured programmes and partnerships.

The Foundation operates on an invitation-only basis, taking a proactive, research-driven approach to identifying partners. It funds projects and scholarships through partner institutions, emphasising long-term impact and sustainability. This selective model allows the Foundation to make strategic interventions that support a diverse and inclusive arts sector.
