Applications are initiated through a referral from a Bristol Mason's Lodge or Chapter Charity Steward; the trust does not accept unsolicited approaches. BMC does not fund organisations outside the Greater Bristol area. It also does not support non-registered entities or activities that are not charitable in nature. The trust focuses its resources on registered charities and community groups within its defined geographic area.
