Cwmbran Trust

The Trust supports education and skills development, community development, poverty and hardship relief, and physical and mental health initiatives. They fund a wide range of activities: school facilities and individual bursaries, social welfare and health projects (including loneliness initiatives), community amenities and events, disability inclusion, arts, heritage, amateur sports, and recreational opportunities. All funded work must benefit residents of Cwmbran Town (NP44 postal district) or Torfaen County Borough. They prioritise grassroots, community-led projects that address local needs not met by statutory services.

Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities, community groups, schools, and individuals based strictly within Cwmbran Town, NP44 postal district, or Torfaen County Borough. They favour small, local organisations with community-led projects. Beneficiaries include children, young people, older people, disabled people, and the general public. There are no religious restrictions. The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications from both organisations and individuals.

The Trust does not fund organisations based outside Cwmbran or Torfaen, nor does it support large charities or national campaigns. They focus on hyper-local, grassroots initiatives and do not favour large-scale or non-local projects.

The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications and operates on a rolling basis, allowing for flexible support of community-led initiatives. They provide grants to fund a variety of activities as described above, with a focus on filling gaps in statutory provision.
