Edward Cadbury Charitable Trust

The Trust funds seven programme areas: arts and culture, community projects and integration, compassionate support, conservation and environment, education and training, and research. It supports inclusive arts, intergenerational and intercultural efforts, environmental stewardship, lifelong learning, interfaith relations, community cohesion, and practical aid for hardship. Examples include capacity-building for local charities, homeless support, heritage preservation, and conservation projects. All funded work is delivered within the Midlands counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire, with a preference for grassroots initiatives that provide measurable public benefit.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities with strong local ties and a track record of delivery. The Trust prioritises small- to medium-sized organisations focused on public benefit, particularly those serving disadvantaged, marginalised, and vulnerable groups. Organisations must be based in or operate within the specified Midlands counties: Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. Individuals, non-registered groups, and organisations outside these counties do not qualify.

The Trust does not fund core or unrestricted costs, and typically supports defined projects only. It does not fund individuals, non-registered groups, or organisations outside the specified Midlands counties. Broad national efforts are not favoured; the Trust prefers community-embedded delivery.
