GLF Global Leadership Foundation (UK)

The Foundation supports capacity-building projects, leadership training for government officials and institutions, peacebuilding, reconciliation and public sector reform. Areas of expertise include democratic transitions, election management, conflict resolution, humanitarian access, economic reform and institutional strengthening. This work primarily takes place in fragile states across Africa, Asia and beyond, targeting systemic improvements in governance and institutional resilience. Rather than providing financial grants, the Foundation delivers high-level advisory services through its network of former leaders, focusing on sustainable, system-level change.

Eligible entities are established national or international organisations focused on governance and democracy-building. Beneficiaries include national leaders, public servants and populations affected by poor governance or conflict. There are no geographic, income or religious restrictions. Engagements are typically by invitation only; the Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications or operate public processes.

The Foundation does not support core costs, capital expenses, direct service delivery, grassroots efforts or transactional charity. Its approach is limited to high-level, confidential advisory work; it does not provide financial grants or funding for operational activities.

The Foundation works on an invitation-only basis, providing discreet, behind-the-scenes support tailored to the needs of current national leaders. Funding takes the form of expert advisory services rather than cash grants, with a focus on mentoring, strategic advice and institutional capacity building through its network of former Heads of State and Government.
