Help for Health

The trust funds physical health, mental health, disability support, medical research and education, and community health projects. Supported activities include project delivery, capital works, equipment, research, training, and salaries. Grants must benefit people within East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North Lincolnshire, and North East Lincolnshire. The Lazenby Fund, a separate programme, supports health and well-being initiatives exclusively in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with examples such as wheelchair skills training and mental health programmes.

Registered charities, universities, and community organisations are eligible to apply. Beneficiaries include disabled people, veterans, children, young people, and the general public. All work must directly benefit residents within the four unitary local authorities of East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. The Lazenby Fund is restricted to organisations based in or serving the East Riding of Yorkshire. There is no religious restriction on applicants.

The trust does not fund core costs or projects that replace statutory obligations of government. This includes activities that are the legal responsibility of public bodies. No other exclusions are specified beyond these limitations.

Help for Health provides grants for specific project costs, including capital works, equipment, research, training, and salaries. They do not fund core costs. The trust welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible organisations. Grants are made on a rolling basis, and all applications are assessed by the Board of Trustees.
