Hendy Foundation

The Foundation supports charitable work in poverty relief, mental health, health and wellbeing, youth development, elderly services, and community strengthening. Registered charities and community groups based and working within the Foundation's operating area are eligible to apply. The Foundation prioritises small, local organisations serving elderly people, young people, families in crisis, and disadvantaged residents. There is no religious restriction, and unsolicited applications are welcomed. Organisations must be able to demonstrate evidence-based, community-focused work that addresses local needs. The Foundation prefers grassroots groups with a strong local connection and a track record of delivering practical services.

The Foundation does not fund national charities, political or religious activities, core operational costs, campaigning, unrestricted expenditure, or projects outside its geographic area. It focuses exclusively on discrete, local initiatives and does not support ongoing operational expenses or general running costs. The Foundation also excludes projects that are not evidence-based or that lack a clear local focus.
