King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, Warwick

The Trust funds a wide range of activity including heritage repairs, support for older people, poverty and hardship relief, community development, sport and recreation, education and skills, children and youth work, mental and physical health, arts and culture, disability and faith. Grants can support project delivery, capital works, equipment, training and events. The Trust's stated priorities include the repair of historic buildings in the Town, the relief of the elderly, infirm and needy inhabitants, the improvement of social welfare, recreation and leisure facilities, the support of educational facilities, and any other charitable activity. All funding is directed locally within the Town of Warwick.

The Trust welcomes applications from registered charities, community groups, schools and sports clubs. It prioritises projects that benefit older people, disabled people, children, young people and the general public within the Town of Warwick. The Trust is particularly interested in supporting local, grassroots organisations that are embedded in the community. There is no religious restriction on applicants, and the Trust accepts unsolicited applications.

The Trust does not fund core costs or salaries, nor projects that are the responsibility of central or local government. It also excludes retrospective costs, regular annual revenue expenditure, and more than one grant per project. Projects must be completed within two years of award.

The Trust provides grants for specific projects, capital works, equipment, training and events. It can offer multi-year funding, providing instalment funding for a period not exceeding three years. Match funding is not required. The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications and considers them on a quarterly basis.
