It favours small to medium-sized, modest-income grassroots organisations, particularly those serving local communities in England and Wales. The priority groups above—those facing poverty, seeking education or religious enrichment, and Jewish communities—are at the heart of its giving.

The trust does not fund activities that fall outside its charitable objects, specifically non-welfare or unrelated initiatives. Its giving is strictly aligned with poverty relief, education (including religious education), and religious activities. Projects or organisations that do not connect to these thematic areas are unlikely to be considered.

The trust makes direct grants to organisations, offering both project funding and core cost support. It does not accept unsolicited applications; interested parties must contact trustees directly for discretionary consideration.
