Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust

The Trust funds work in arts and culture, community development, environment, and sport and recreation. It supports project delivery, equipment purchase, capital works, and training. All funded activity must take place in Wales and benefit people living or working there. The Trust gives priority to organisations that serve disabled people, ethnic minority communities, and young people, as well as the general public where disadvantage is greatest. It focuses on time-limited interventions rather than ongoing services, with a particular interest in projects that promote education, cultural heritage, and community cohesion.

Registered charities, unincorporated associations, and community groups that are based in Wales and deliver work in Wales can apply. The Trust favours organisations working with groups and communities experiencing the greatest disadvantage. Beneficiaries include disabled people, ethnic minority communities, young people, and the wider public. The Trust does not fund individuals, profit-making organisations, or applications made solely in the name of a local authority. Organisations must be able to demonstrate that their project will directly improve quality of life in Wales.

The Trust excludes core costs, salaries, and day-to-day running expenses. It does not support projects outside Wales, retrospective funding requests, payments of debts or overdrafts, or initiatives that redistribute grant funds to third-party organisations. Applications from individuals or profit-making organisations are not accepted, nor are those submitted solely by a local authority. The Trust also does not fund projects that would replace statutory obligations.

The Trust provides one-off project grants. It covers costs for equipment, capital works, training, and direct project delivery. It does not offer multi-year funding or support core costs. The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible organisations.
