Normansfield and Richmond Foundation

The Foundation supports adults with learning disabilities and young people in transition, as well as their carers, within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Funding covers equipment, events, and project delivery that directly benefit these groups. Priority is given to organisations that support people with learning disabilities in the borough, including former residents of Normansfield. The focus is on practical, life-enhancing projects that statutory services do not provide.

Registered charities and community groups based in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames are eligible to apply. The Foundation prioritises organisations that support adults with learning disabilities, young people in transition, and their carers. Applicants should have a strong local connection to the borough. There is no religious restriction on eligibility.

The Foundation does not make up shortfalls in statutory funding. Grants are not provided for ongoing or core costs, as they are given on a one-off basis. Other exclusions may apply, but the primary restriction is against substituting statutory obligations.

Grants are awarded on a one-off basis rather than as continuing funding. The Foundation welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible organisations. Funding is directed towards specific projects, equipment, or events that directly benefit the target groups. There is no provision for multi-year commitments.
