Peak District National Park Foundation

They support habitat conservation and restoration, climate adaptation, sustainable access infrastructure, and inclusive nature engagement. Specific funded activities include creating, increasing, or improving spaces for nature within the Peak District National Park boundary, as well as removing barriers for disadvantaged and marginalised communities to access, understand and enjoy the National Park. Their focus is on the Peak District National Park and its immediate urban catchments, including Manchester and Sheffield.

Registered charities, community groups, and schools can apply. They prioritise disadvantaged young people, children from deprived urban schools, people with disabilities, low-income communities, and ethnically diverse groups. Applicants must be based within or serve the Peak District National Park or its surrounding urban areas. For the Community Nature Fund, applicants must be the landowner or have landowner permission.

They do not fund unrestricted core costs or salaries. Activities without direct benefits to the National Park are excluded. For the Connect Fund, visits must take place within six months of the grant award, and schools can apply once per academic year. For the Community Nature Fund, equipment and built items must be maintained for a minimum of five years.

They offer one-off grants through specific programmes, each with a distinct theme. They welcome unsolicited applications. Funding is provided for transport, equipment, and capital works, but not for core costs or salaries. They emphasise collaborative partnerships and projects that align with the National Park Management Plan.
