Peter Stebbings Memorial Charity

The Charity supports a wide spectrum of work, from medical research and mental health services to criminal justice reform and assistance for vulnerable families, women, and children. In Sub-Saharan Africa, it funds water and sanitation projects, education, microfinance, and the provision of tools for livelihoods. Beneficiaries include vulnerable families, women, children, offenders, the poor, the aged, and the sick. Funding is available for both project delivery and core costs, with multi-year funding offered to trusted partners. The Charity focuses its giving on London and Sub-Saharan Africa, favouring smaller, local organisations over large national or international bodies.

Only UK-registered charities are eligible to apply. The Charity prioritises smaller charities, particularly those working directly with vulnerable groups such as women, children, offenders, the poor, the aged, and the sick. It does not fund individuals. The Trust is reviewing its Grants Policy and has decided to reduce its areas of benefit, with the final areas yet to be confirmed. It pro-actively approaches organisations rather than receiving applications, so charities should understand that unsolicited applications may not be considered.

The Charity does not fund animal welfare, publications, general appeals, educational institutions, or arts organisations. It also excludes large national or international charities and individuals from its funding.
