Rnli Lifesaving Endowment

The RNLI Lifesaving Endowment is a UK-registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) established in 2019 by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) with an initial £42.3 million donation. Its core mission is to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of RNLI's lifesaving operations at sea by managing an enduring investment fund, with income directed exclusively to support the RNLI's frontline rescue services. Guided by values of prudence, resilience, and mission alignment, it is overseen by seven unpaid trustees, most with direct RNLI ties, emphasizing strategic stewardship to preserve capital value against inflation and safeguard future generations from maritime emergencies.

The endowment funds solely the RNLI's core activities, including lifeboat operations, stations, equipment, volunteer support, infrastructure, and operating costs for sea rescue around UK coasts.
