It funds targeted benevolence grants for hardship, mental health resilience, private healthcare (especially for dependents), accommodation, bereavement costs, family welfare, respite breaks, decompression activities, remembrance events, and regimental projects like museum support or morale-building sports/training. All support is exclusively for SRR personnel and families, prioritizing those without other resources, with recent annual benevolence expenditure around £34,000.

Eligibility is strictly limited to current/ex-SRR members and immediate dependents based on UK regimental service; it does not fund external organizations, charities, or unrelated causes, with no income/size rules or geographic restrictions beyond this tie. Unsolicited applications are not accepted—aid is provided responsively on a rolling basis via internal referrals and trustee decisions, with no public deadlines or processes.
