Tudwick Foundation

The Foundation funds a broad range of causes within Essex and Suffolk, with priority given to community projects that reach the most people. Core themes are the advancement of education, preservation and protection of physical and mental health, and relief of poverty and sickness. It also supports community development, economic initiatives, and other voluntary efforts that deliver tangible benefits to local communities. Both core costs and project delivery costs are eligible, enabling organisations to strengthen their infrastructure as well as specific activities.

The Tudwick Foundation accepts applications from a wide range of local organisations, including registered charities, community interest companies, unincorporated associations, community groups, and social enterprises based in Essex or Suffolk. It also accepts applications from individuals. All funded activity must take place within these two counties. The Foundation prioritises small voluntary groups and community organisations that address unmet social needs, particularly where the most people will benefit. There are no religious restrictions.

The Foundation does not fund retrospective activities, direct replacements for statutory funding, or activities that are primarily the responsibility of local or central government. General appeals that directly promote a religious or political agenda are excluded. Charities registered outside the UK are not eligible to apply.

The Foundation welcomes unsolicited applications and offers both core costs and project delivery funding. It provides responsive support to grassroots and emerging groups, with funding directed where the most community benefit is achieved.
