Vetlife provides emergency one-off grants and longer-term aid to help individuals maintain stability and continue in their careers. Support is available across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, with no geographic restrictions within the UK.

Vetlife supports individuals only – specifically veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, veterinary students, and their dependants. Applicants must be facing acute or chronic challenges and demonstrate financial need. The charity is open to individuals across the UK, with no restriction on location within England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland. It is the only UK charity focused exclusively on the veterinary profession's holistic needs.

Vetlife does not fund organisations, projects, core costs, or non-veterinary causes. Support is limited to individual veterinary professionals and their dependants; charities, businesses, or other groups are not eligible. Grants are not provided for general organisational expenses or activities outside the veterinary sector.
