The Charity funds projects, core costs, and capital works across many areas including children and youth, older people, disability, mental and physical health, poverty and hardship, homelessness, education and skills, employment, arts and culture, heritage, environment, sport and recreation, community development, criminal justice, carers, refugees and migrants, and domestic abuse. Grants support work across the United Kingdom, with approximately half of total grant funds in any year directed to organisations and projects in the West Midlands, particularly the Coventry and Warwickshire area.

To be eligible for a grant, organisations must be UK registered charities or organisations deemed exempt or excepted under Charity Commission guidance, including charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs). The Charity supports a wide range of beneficiaries, including children and young people, older people, people with disabilities, those experiencing poverty or homelessness, and other vulnerable groups. There is no religious restriction on applicants.

The Charity offers grants that may be one-off, recurring, or spread over two or three years. It supports project delivery, core costs, and capital works. The trustees welcome unsolicited applications and make decisions regarding awards at meetings held four times a year.
