Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups delivering measurable, sustainable impact in the UK or Africa, especially South Africa and Tanzania. The foundation prioritises organisations showing strong governance and community engagement. Beneficiaries include disadvantaged youth, African communities, conservationists, artists, and socially excluded groups. There is no strict income threshold, and geographic base is unrestricted. Small grassroots groups may qualify if highly aligned with the foundation's focus.

The foundation does not fund emergency relief or seed funding. They typically work with medium-to-large organisations, though smaller groups may be considered if closely aligned.

The foundation makes multi-year grants for projects, capital infrastructure, or select core costs. Applications are not openly solicited; the foundation proactively identifies its partners. Strong fits may contact the foundation for discretionary review, but unsolicited applications are not accepted.
