Operations are carried out throughout England and Wales, though the Trust's reach extends worldwide to Jewish communities in need.

Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities specialising in Jewish social welfare, as well as individuals who apply via referrals. Beneficiaries are exclusively Jewish individuals, families, or charities addressing material deprivation, health vulnerabilities, or lifecycle needs. The Trust accepts unsolicited proposals on a rolling basis, without income thresholds or geographic limits, though funding spans globally where Jewish need exists. Priority is given to proven, confidential support that fosters wellbeing and community cohesion.

The Trust excludes non-Jewish causes, general unrestricted funding, or activities outside its core mission of relieving poverty, sickness, and infirmity among people of the Jewish faith. It does not support organisations or individuals that do not align with its Jewish-only focus.

The Trust provides both one-off interventions and support for ongoing welfare projects by communal organisations.
