Archbishop of Canterbury's Anglican Communion Fund

The fund supports strategic initiatives that build the capacity of the Church and its ministries, including leadership training, reconciliation processes, and religious education. It also responds to times of crisis, helping Anglican provinces and dioceses tackle humanitarian emergencies, public health crises, and acute hardship. Social outreach projects such as women’s empowerment and health services are supported. The fund’s reach is global, working across 185 countries to meet needs wherever the Anglican Communion is present.

Only Anglican churches, provinces, and dioceses within the Anglican Communion are eligible. The fund also supports the international ministry of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Beneficiaries are the general public served through these Anglican bodies. Unsolicited applications are welcome. The fund prioritises projects that align with its Communion-focused mission and demonstrate a clear connection to the Anglican family.

The fund does not support non-Anglican entities, UK general charities, or projects that lack alignment with the Anglican Communion. It is exclusively for the benefit of the churches and provinces of the Anglican Communion and the Archbishop’s international ministry.

The ACF provides targeted aid that supplements local generosity, supporting both long-term capacity-building and swift emergency crisis response. It funds project delivery and emergency relief within its priority areas of strategic initiatives, representation, and times of crisis. Unsolicited applications are accepted, and the fund works directly with Anglican provinces and dioceses worldwide.
