Welfare enhancements like family support services, carer respite, and community outreach are also supported, alongside capacity-building for grassroots efforts tackling youth unemployment, social isolation, and household instability. Holistic approaches such as mentoring, peer support groups, and community-led poverty prevention schemes prioritise early intervention and person-centred aid delivery. All funding is directed towards Northern Ireland’s underserved communities.

Registered charities based in Northern Ireland are eligible to apply. The trust prioritises beneficiaries in underserved communities, including low-income households, unemployed adults, at-risk youth, families in crisis, isolated individuals, and children lacking educational access. There is no religious restriction. Applications are welcomed from organisations demonstrating direct impact on welfare and education, without demanding a specialised remit.

Atlas Memorial Limited has no narrow exclusions and considers a broad range of poverty-related interventions. However, funding is typically focused on activities that directly address poverty, education, or welfare within Northern Ireland. Projects outside this geographical area or unrelated to the trust’s core mission are unlikely to be supported.

The trust offers flexible grants that may be unrestricted or project-specific, emphasising both immediate relief and long-term empowerment. Unsolicited applications are welcomed. They favour grants to organisations that demonstrate direct, evidence-informed impact on welfare and education, without requiring highly specialised remits.
