Barnes Fund

The Barnes Fund supports a wide range of causes including disability, mental health, physical health, poverty and hardship, older people, education and skills, community development, arts and culture, children and youth, and carers. They fund core costs, project delivery, capital works, equipment, and training. All funded work must benefit people living in the Barnes (SW13) area. Priority themes include supporting those with disabilities, poor mental or physical health, economic hardship, older people, and education.

Registered charities, community groups, and faith groups are eligible to apply. Organisations do not need to be based in Barnes, but their work must clearly benefit Barnes residents. The fund favours smaller, grassroots organisations. Beneficiaries include older people, children, disabled people, carers, young people, and the general public. There is no religious restriction on applicants.

The Barnes Fund does not fund national charities unless they can demonstrate clear local impact in Barnes. They avoid non-local efforts and prioritise grassroots organisations serving the Barnes community.
