Tuixen Foundation

The Foundation funds work across several cause areas: youth development, mentoring, and educational achievement; services for people with physical and learning disabilities; mental health support; end-of-life hospices; homelessness prevention; and poverty alleviation with community inclusion. It supports the kinds of work that build capacity and strategic flexibility, such as unrestricted core costs. Geographically, it focuses on charities operating in England and Wales. The Foundation is particularly interested in mid-sized organisations that deliver for disadvantaged groups, including children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

The Foundation only considers UK-registered charities with strong governance and a proven track record of effectiveness. It supports mid-sized organisations that work directly with disadvantaged groups, particularly children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The priority groups are those facing poverty, homelessness, disability, mental health challenges, and youth disadvantage. The Foundation operates an invitation-only model, so unsolicited applications are not accepted; charities are proactively researched and selected based on their fit with the Foundation's values and focus areas.

The Foundation does not fund project-specific, capital, emergency, or seed funding requests. It only supports UK-registered charities, so organisations outside the UK or without charitable status are not considered. Core unrestricted grants are the primary vehicle, so requests for restricted or time-limited project funding are not within scope.

The Foundation operates an invitation-only model, proactively researching and selecting charities rather than accepting unsolicited applications. It provides unrestricted core grants, often multi-year, to build grantee autonomy and capacity for long-term change. The Foundation is committed to transparency and shares data openly through sector platforms, reflecting its trust-based approach to philanthropy.
