Eligible organisations must be UK-registered charities with £500,000–£5 million annual turnover, robust governance, and proven effectiveness; those outside the UK or below/above income thresholds are excluded, as are project-specific, capital, emergency, or seed funding requests. Funding is strictly invitation-only via proactive research—no unsolicited applications are accepted or acknowledged—with about 20 grantees selected annually on a rolling basis. Typical grants range £450–£200,000 (often £25,000–£75,000), including multi-year awards, totalling over £1.3 million yearly from a £13 million+ portfolio since 2010.
