Blagrave Trust

The Trust funds a wide range of causes including children and youth, poverty and hardship, mental health, homelessness, refugees and migrants, criminal justice, education and skills, employment, environment, community development, and disability. It supports youth-led climate justice, youth policymaking, and improving listening practices in youth organisations. Work can include core costs, salaries, project delivery, training, equipment, events, and research. Geographically, the Trust has a regional focus on Berkshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Sussex, and Wiltshire, and also runs national programmes across England.

The Trust supports a broad range of organisations including registered charities, community groups, social enterprises, and also individual young changemakers through its Challenge and Change Fund. It prioritises young people facing multiple challenges and injustice, and organisations where young people hold meaningful leadership. Applicants should be based in England, with regional programmes requiring a local presence in the priority counties. There is no faith requirement.

The Trust does not fund capital works, emergency appeals, faith-based activities, organisations without an asset lock, individual sponsorship, religious activities, party political activity, retrospective costs, loan repayments, or topping up reserves. It avoids one-off projects and work with established changemakers, and does not support education or courses through some programmes.

The Trust favours unrestricted and multi-year support where possible, funding core costs and project delivery. It welcomes unsolicited applications and is committed to youth-led and anti-oppressive approaches. The Trust also invests in listening practices and youth leadership, and works collaboratively with grantees.
