Caring Family Foundation

The foundation funds targeted initiatives in three main areas. It supports child food insecurity through meals programmes, school holiday food distribution and community food banks. It funds domestic abuse support including refuges, recovery services and prevention work for women and girls. In Brazil, it supports reforestation efforts that empower Indigenous communities against deforestation. Work is focused on high-need areas in the UK and Brazil, reaching vulnerable families, urban and rural poverty hotspots, survivors of domestic violence and Amazonian populations.

The foundation invites applications from community groups and charitable organisations working in the UK or Brazil. It supports organisations of all sizes, from small grassroots groups to established charities, with no specified income thresholds. Beneficiaries include vulnerable families, women and children experiencing poverty or domestic violence, and Indigenous communities in the Amazon. There are no religious or geographic restrictions beyond the two country focus areas. The foundation does not accept unsolicited applications; it approaches organisations through its networks.

The foundation does not fund non-strategic or indirect work. It avoids projects that do not directly reach beneficiaries or that fall outside its core focus areas of child poverty, domestic abuse and environmental harm in the UK and Brazil.

The foundation operates by invitation only, working directly with organisations it identifies through its networks. It prefers multi-year commitments for project costs, and occasionally supports capital items such as vehicles. Funding is directed at frontline, measurable interventions, reflecting a hands-on approach that prioritises sustainable change.
