Eligible entities are UK-based community groups and established sports organisations (e.g., County Cricket Boards) capable of large-scale delivery; it prefers medium-to-large partners without strict income limits but requires direct cricket/schools focus. Grants, typically £40,000–£400,000 annually, are project-based via multi-year strategic agreements.

Chance to Shine operates invite-only, rejecting unsolicited applications with no public deadlines or portals—new partners are selected internally based on alignment and performance. It excludes core funding, unrestricted support, or non-cricket activities, distinguishing itself through its cricket-exclusive, partnership-driven model, free beneficiary access, and national scale reaching 600,000+ children yearly. Charities must collaborate within its network for fit.
