It funds time-limited projects, initiatives, events, training, residencies, or specific items delivered by UK-registered charities, schools, further education colleges (as exempt charities), or NHS Trusts—low-risk organizations with at least one set of published accounts and proper banking. UK-wide scope applies (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), but excludes CICs, social enterprises, local authorities, and those without formal structure.

Grants typically range from £5,000 to £150,000, assessed via rolling online applications (one-session form; draft offline) reviewed monthly—smaller grants decided quickly, larger ones may involve site visits or extra info. No fixed deadlines, though the portal may close/reopen periodically.

Distinctively targeted—not a generalist—it rejects individuals, core costs, crisis/retrospective funding, statutory duties, feasibility studies, or unrestricted uses, ensuring additionality and measurable impact for vulnerable youth via sport/education alone.
