Chasdei Uvois

The Trust funds projects that advance Jewish religious education, youth clubs, holiday play schemes, and poverty relief for Jewish children and families. Out-of-school childcare clubs and holiday play schemes are core activities, alongside broader out-of-school learning and hardship alleviation. Support typically takes the form of restricted project grants, with occasional core costs for closely aligned organisations. Geographically, the work is hyper-local, focused on Salford and the surrounding areas, with an unwavering emphasis on serving the Jewish youth of that community.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups serving the Jewish community in Salford and the surrounding areas. The Trust favours smaller, grassroots organisations and does not set strict income limits. Applicants should be rooted in the local Jewish community and aligned with the dual themes of faith-based welfare and youth development. Only organisations are supported; individual applications are not mentioned.

The Trust does not fund non-faith-aligned work or projects outside Salford and its surrounding areas. Organisations that do not serve the Jewish community, or that operate beyond this local geography, are unlikely to receive support.
