It prioritises work benefiting young people, disadvantaged groups and UK armed services personnel. Support is invitation-only via Trustee networks, so unsolicited applications are not accepted.

The Trust does not support core, unrestricted or capital costs. It also avoids funding that falls outside its sectoral focus on automotive, aerospace and coachmaking, or that does not align with its emphasis on STEM education and skills development.
