About Coldstream Guards Charity

The Coldstream Guards Charity, established in 2021, provides relief and welfare support to serving and former members of the Coldstream Guards regiment and their dependants. Governed by regimental trustees, it upholds the regiment's values of loyalty, duty, and mutual support. The Charity focuses on emergency relief, crisis support, and welfare assistance for individuals and families facing acute hardship, distress, or need. Its hyper-focused regimental link makes it distinctive, offering targeted support for this specific community rather than broader military causes.

What Coldstream Guards Charity funds

The Charity funds emergency relief, crisis support, and welfare assistance for individuals and families in acute need. This includes support for serving members, veterans in financial distress, and dependants requiring urgent help. Occasionally, it extends aid to associated military or civilian charities and regimental welfare initiatives where public funds fall short. There is no geographic restriction within the UK, but the funding is specifically tied to the Coldstream Guards community.

Who can apply

Beneficiaries include past or present Coldstream Guards personnel who have completed initial training, along with their spouses, partners, widows, widowers, parents, children, and carers. The eligible legal entity is a UK registered charity. Applications are strictly referral-based from specialist caseworkers such as SSAFA or the Royal British Legion; unsolicited proposals are not accepted. There are no geographic, income, or size restrictions, but eligibility is assessed via service history, conduct, and current circumstances.

What Coldstream Guards Charity doesn't fund

The Charity does not fund loan repayments, legal fees, private medical bills, school fees, funerals, or debts. It also does not accept unsolicited proposals from organisations or individuals.
