Dixie Rose Findlay Charitable Trust

The Trust funds health causes including air ambulance services for emergency medical transport, hospitals providing specialised treatments, and hospices offering palliative and respite care. Strong emphasis is placed on disability support for people who are blind or visually impaired, through audio libraries, vision support services, and adaptive equipment. Additional priorities include dementia support (day services, peer support, carer respite), deafblind services, and community welfare such as village halls for elderly or isolated individuals. Funding covers project costs, equipment, capital improvements, and select core costs for therapeutic activities, outreach, and person-centred care models.

Only registered charities in England and Wales may apply. The Trust prioritises grassroots charities delivering clear, evidence-based impact for disabled people, carers, and rural communities facing terminal illness, blindness, dementia, or emergency health crises. Beneficiaries include people with visual impairments, dementia, deafblind conditions, and those in need of emergency or palliative care. There is no religious restriction on eligibility.

The Trust does not support individuals or non-charitable entities. It also excludes general overheads without project ties and duplicative services that overlap with existing provision.

The Trust makes discretionary grants for project costs, equipment, capital improvements, and select core costs. It accepts unsolicited applications and favours modest, reliable funding with a long-term view, although specific grant lengths or structures are not prescribed.
