Epic Foundation UK Limited

Epic Foundation funds two thematic portfolios. The Children & Youth portfolio focuses on addressing poverty, mental health, education, skills, and employment for children, young people, women, and girls. The Environment & Climate portfolio supports organisations working on environmental protection and climate action, benefiting children and young people. The foundation funds core operational costs rather than project delivery, and supports registered charities operating across the UK. It seeks organisations that are already achieving measurable results and have the potential to scale their impact.

Only registered charities can apply. The foundation does not fund individuals, community interest companies, or social enterprises. It looks for high-impact social nonprofits that demonstrate strong leadership, clear impact, and a commitment to systemic change. Organisations should be ready to scale their work. Epic Foundation selects partners through an invite-only process, so unsolicited applications are not accepted.

Epic Foundation does not support project delivery costs, capital projects, or emergency appeals. It cannot provide financial support to organisations outside its selection process. The foundation does not fund individuals, community interest companies, or social enterprises, nor organisations that cannot demonstrate a clear theory of change.

Epic Foundation provides unrestricted, multi-year core funding. It works exclusively by invitation, selecting partners through a rigorous four-step due diligence process. The foundation takes a venture capital-inspired approach, offering substantial, flexible core funding over multiple years to enable grantees to grow and strengthen their operations. Match funding is not required.
