Applications are open to registered charities, community groups, individuals and other bodies for charitable activities. Grants cannot be made to cover money already spent. Grants to individuals are restricted to items rather than cash. Additionally, grants can only be paid to an account in the name of the organisation, not to an individual's bank account.

Grants are one-off and should be spent within the year for the purpose they were given. The trust expects evidence that funding has been sought from other sources and the level of match funding available. They welcome unsolicited applications.
