It prioritises activities with clear educational value and community engagement, aiming to advance appreciation of creativity through strategic interventions. Funding is directed to UK-based art institutions and collaborations with experienced cultural partners, with a focus on contemporary and historical visual art. The Foundation favours projects that demonstrate artistic excellence and public accessibility, often supporting galleries and cultural organisations that drive educational impact and audience engagement.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities, particularly medium-to-large established art galleries with a proven track record in visual arts education. There are no strict income thresholds, but a preference exists for organisations of substantive scale. The Foundation works with experienced cultural partners and does not accept unsolicited applications; partners are selected through trustee networks. The priority groups are art institutions and cultural organisations that can demonstrate clear educational value and community engagement in the visual arts.

The Foundation does not fund core costs, capital projects, emergency relief, or any causes outside visual arts education. It also does not accept unsolicited applications, so organisations without an existing connection to the trustees are unlikely to receive support.

The Foundation operates on an invitation-only basis, with partners selected through trustee networks.
