Greaves & Withey Foundation

The Foundation funds work that advances amateur sport and physical education, including facilities, courses, training programmes, and resources for leadership, coaching, and organisation of sport. It also supports initiatives that develop physical and mental capacity, improve performance in physical education, and encourage healthy, active lifestyles. Funding is directed towards capital works, equipment, training, and project delivery. All funded activities must take place within Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, or Oxfordshire.

The Foundation supports registered charities, community groups, schools, and sports clubs operating in Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire. Beneficiaries include children, young people, and the general public. The Foundation prefers to fund organisations with a grassroots focus and a proven public benefit. Non-charitable or for-profit organisations are not eligible.

The Foundation does not fund non-charitable or for-profit organisations, activities unrelated to sports, recreation, or physical education, or work that takes place outside Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire.

The Foundation makes grants for capital projects, equipment, training, and project delivery. It welcomes unsolicited applications and focuses on strategic, evidence-based investments in grassroots sport and recreation. The Foundation prefers to fund initiatives that create lasting benefits for local communities.
