Hampstead Wells and Campden Trust

The Trust funds work across a wide range of causes including mental health, physical health, poverty and hardship, homelessness, disability, support for older people, carers, refugees, and domestic abuse. It supports programme delivery, organisational development, and core costs. Activities may include advice and advocacy services, seasonal hardship relief, and community-led projects that reduce social isolation. All funded work must take place within the Trust’s area of benefit in Camden. Specific themes include improving mental and physical health outcomes and reducing hardship and social isolation during key periods such as winter and school holidays.

Applications are accepted from registered charities, community and voluntary organisations, not-for-profit companies, and Community Interest Companies (CICs). The Trust prioritises grassroots organisations with deep local ties. Beneficiaries include children, young people, older people, carers, refugees, homeless people, and those experiencing financial hardship. For individual and family support grants, applications must be made as part of wrap-around support with clear evidence of financial hardship. There is no religious restriction.

The Trust does not fund education or training costs (such as course fees or study equipment), rent arrears, or debts. Individual and family support grants also exclude capital works and training. General appeals, taxes, or fines are not supported.

The Trust offers grants for both core costs and project funding, and is prepared to support capacity building work for grantee organisations. It makes one-off grants but does not specify multi-year commitments. Unsolicited applications are welcome. The Trust works in partnership with local groups and values strategic relationships.
