Harrison Foundation

The Foundation supports education, social mobility, healthcare, youth development, financial literacy, digital upskilling, and community initiatives. It is particularly focused on disadvantaged young people, those with learning or health challenges, and communities in North East England, while also extending across England, Wales, and select international projects.

Grants can fund project costs, core costs, capital builds, multi-year skills initiatives, and equipment. The Foundation favours innovative, transformational projects with clear evidence and proven metrics over administrative-heavy proposals.

Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities and community groups of any size, with no income thresholds or geographic base required. The Foundation welcomes grassroots to national organisations.

While there is no restriction on applicant location, the Foundation has a particular focus on disadvantaged young people, those with learning or health challenges, and communities in North East England. It also supports projects across England, Wales, and select international efforts.

The Foundation avoids short-term or low-impact grants, favouring projects that demonstrate clear evidence and proven metrics. It does not fund administrative-heavy proposals or those lacking a focus on measurable outcomes.

Additionally, the Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications; it works by invitation only through trustee networks.

The Foundation takes a hands-on, trustee-led approach, including site visits and active engagement with grantees. It prioritises long-term partnerships and lasting legacy over one-off grants.
