Herefordshire Community Foundation

The Foundation supports a wide range of causes including children and youth, older people, disability, mental and physical health, poverty and hardship, education and skills, employment, arts and culture, heritage, environment, community development, refugees and migrants, and sport and recreation. They fund core costs, salaries, project delivery, capital works, equipment, training, and events. All funded work must benefit residents of Herefordshire, with priority given to small, local organisations whose work directly improves the quality of life for people in the county.

Organisations based in or serving Herefordshire are eligible, including registered charities, community groups, social enterprises, community interest companies, faith-based organisations, schools, and unincorporated associations. Groups do not need to be registered charities but must have charitable or social benefit aims. The Foundation prioritises small, local organisations whose work benefits people in Herefordshire. Faith-based organisations may be funded, but grants are not given for the promotion of any religion.

The Foundation does not fund the promotion of any religion, political groups, or activities promoting political beliefs. Grants are not made for non-charitable activities or projects that do not benefit the communities of Herefordshire.

The Foundation offers one-off grants through programmes such as the Community Chest and Main Grant Programme. They fund a flexible range of costs including core costs, salaries, project delivery, capital works, equipment, training, and events. Unsolicited applications are welcomed from eligible organisations.
