Hinchingbrooke Foundation

The Foundation supports special projects in the Huntingdon area, with a focus on children, young people and the wider community. Grants cover activities such as project delivery, capital works, equipment purchases, training programmes, events, and sports and recreation. Education and skills development are key themes, and the Foundation welcomes projects that enhance learning opportunities and personal development. All funded work must take place in Huntingdon, and the Foundation prioritises initiatives that create tangible benefits for local residents. Whether through new facilities, equipment, or community events, the emphasis is on practical, local impact.

Registered charities, unincorporated associations, community groups and trusts are all eligible to apply, as long as they are based in the Huntingdon area and the project they propose will run there. The Foundation supports organisations working with young people, children and the general public, and it is particularly interested in projects that strengthen education and skills. Individuals are not eligible. Groups that are not based in Huntingdon, or that plan to deliver work elsewhere, should not apply.

The Foundation does not fund individuals. Because grants are restricted to special projects run in the Huntingdon area, it also does not support work taking place outside Huntingdon, nor organisations based outside the area. General running costs are not covered; the emphasis is on project-specific activities and investments.

The Foundation welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible local groups. Grants are made for special projects, covering a range of costs including project delivery, capital works, equipment, training, events, and sports and recreation. Funding is directed to initiatives that deliver clear benefits to the Huntingdon community.
