It supports one-off projects, emergency relief, and targeted core costs. Funding is available exclusively for the benefit of Bedford Borough residents, reflecting the Trust’s area of benefit.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups operating within or for the benefit of Bedford Borough residents. The Trust welcomes both grassroots and established organisations, with no income thresholds. Applicants must demonstrate robust governance and a clear benefit to people in need, hardship, or distress. Priority is given to groups supporting children, older people, people with disabilities, and minoritised communities. Exceptional cases may consider immediate neighbours with proven connections to the Borough. There is no religious restriction.
