There is no religious restriction on applicants.

The trust does not fund political or religious activities, curriculum-based education, core school buildings, purely medical research, or animal welfare projects without proven human benefit. General individual appeals are excluded, except for youth trips. National charities operating outside the local area are also not supported.

The trust makes grants to organisations, welcoming unsolicited applications. They emphasise partnership funding and matched contributions, and are open to multi-year commitments for sustainable infrastructure. Support can cover core costs and project costs, though the trust values tangible outcomes and direct resident benefits. They work by invitation as well as open applications.
