Hyde Charitable Trust

The Trust funds work across five priority themes: skills, aspirations, and employment; financial hardship and cost-of-living pressures; support for children and young people; wellbeing; and environmental sustainability. It supports core costs, project delivery, capacity building, and multi-year programmes, with examples including community gardens and food collection initiatives. The focus is on residents and communities linked to Hyde Housing, particularly in London, the South East, and the South of England. The Trust aims to enhance access to local services, food security, social inclusion, and community resilience, favouring targeted, collaborative efforts that build voluntary sector capacity and align with Hyde's community investment strategy.

UK-registered charities and community groups are eligible. The Trust prioritises small to medium-sized, grassroots organisations with strong ties to Hyde communities. Beneficiaries include people facing hardship, young people, older adults, and local voluntary groups. There are no strict income limits, but a preference for locally rooted entities. Organisations serving Hyde's operational areas in England are particularly welcomed. Religious context: no restriction.

The Trust does not fund generalist or national-scale programmes. It concentrates on place-based, collaborative initiatives in its operational areas and does not support work that falls outside its community investment strategy or priority themes.

Funding is strictly invite-only, with organisations identified through Hyde's networks. The Trust offers multi-year programmes, core costs, project delivery, and capacity building support. Unsolicited applications are not accepted; organisations are invited to apply through established channels.
