Innholders' Charitable Foundation

The Foundation supports causes that benefit the elderly, the young, and the hospitality industry. Funded activities include welfare, education, skills development, and projects that improve wellbeing for older people, children and young people, and those involved in hospitality. Grants are made to organisations working in England and Wales, with the Charity Committee strongly preferring applicants in London and the Home Counties (Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex).

Registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, and community interest companies are eligible to apply. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals. Applicants must have filed at least two returns with the Charity Commission. The Charity Committee strongly prefers applicants based in London and the Home Counties, though organisations elsewhere in England and Wales may also be considered.

The Foundation does not make grants to individuals or to organisations outside the UK. It also does not fund overseas expeditions or travel. These exclusions are designed to focus support on UK-based charitable organisations working in the Foundation's priority areas of elderly welfare, youth development, and hospitality support.

The Foundation offers larger, long-term awards through its Patronage Committee and a rolling grant programme through the Charity Committee. The Charity Committee makes one-off grants, while the Patronage Committee provides multi-year support. Unsolicited applications are accepted.
