Jacqueline and Michael Gee Charitable Trust

The Trust funds work across education and training, arts and culture, health, overseas aid and general charitable purposes. It supports Jewish institutions such as synagogues, cultural bodies and educational initiatives, as well as arts organisations, medical charities, academic institutions and heritage efforts. Examples include Jewish cultural organisations like the Jewish Music Institute, arts venues such as the Almeida Theatre, medical charities like Dementia UK, and universities including Tel Aviv University. The Trust funds projects, core costs and capital needs, and is particularly interested in smaller, community-connected organisations. Geographically, it supports registered charities across England and Wales, with a special interest in Israel.

Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities, community groups, voluntary bodies, academic institutions and occasionally individuals. The Trust has a preference for faith-based (Jewish) organisations but also supports a wide range of other charitable causes. It prioritises smaller organisations and values personal connections, with no strict geographic, religious or income restrictions. Applicants from England, Wales and Israel are welcome, and unsolicited applications are accepted.

The Trust has no fixed exclusions and considers a broad range of charitable purposes. However, it tends to favour modest-scale, community-connected requests and may be less likely to support very large organisations or those without a clear link to its areas of interest.

The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications and supports projects, core costs and capital needs. Its approach is flexible and relationship-led, with decisions made at the trustees' absolute discretion. There are no paid staff, and the Trust operates as a classic small family foundation, favouring modest-scale grants.
