Johnnie Johnson Trust

The Trust funds activities for children and young people up to age 25 who are disadvantaged and/or less able, with priority given to sailing and other water sports. Support is available for one-off grants for equipment, capital purchases, and specific project costs. While registered charities and community groups across the UK can apply, priority is given to organisations in the Midlands. The Trust focuses on activities that foster teamwork, confidence, and personal development through challenging physical and team-based experiences.

Registered charities and community groups working with children and young people up to age 25 who are disadvantaged and/or less able can apply. Beneficiaries include those facing poverty, social exclusion, learning or physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges. The Trust gives priority to sailing and other water sports activities and to organisations rooted in the Midlands. There is no faith restriction.

The Trust does not fund core running costs, unrestricted funding, passive youth clubs, generic social services, or non-developmental activities. Support is not available for older people.

The Trust awards one-off grants for equipment, capital purchases, and specific project costs. Grants are usually non-recurring. It welcomes unsolicited applications and considers them at regular meetings.
