Just4Children

Just4Children, a UK and Ireland charitable funder established in November 2015, is dedicated to relieving sickness and preserving the physical and mental health of children and young people under 25 by funding essential medical treatments, therapies, equipment, home adaptations, and supportive interventions unavailable through statutory services. Born from trustees' personal experiences with unfunded needs, its vision ensures families of sick or disabled children gain choice, dignity, and opportunity. Core values—practical support, partnership, respect, and non-condition-specific aid—position it as a vital safety net, maximising children's potential and family wellbeing through hands-on guidance, bespoke fundraising campaigns, and direct provider payments.

It prioritises seriously ill or disabled children with complex, rare, or life-limiting conditions like cerebral palsy, brain injuries, neurodisabilities, genetic syndromes, and autism. Funded activities include life-saving surgeries (e.g., Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, stem cell therapy), intensive physiotherapy, specialist equipment, communication devices, travel for treatments, and respite breaks to enhance mobility, independence, communication, and family quality of life. While primarily supporting individuals and families, it collaborates with therapy centres and charities.

Eligible applicants are UK or Ireland-resident families of children under 25 with clearly unmet, clinically justified needs; no organisational income rules, religious restrictions, or geographic sub-limits apply within these areas. Unsolicited applications are welcomed via an online form on a rolling basis—no deadlines—with personalised assessments requiring clinical/financial documentation and supplier quotes, often decided within weeks.

Typical grants range from £10,000–£50,000 (campaign targets from £15,000, some exceeding £100,000), paid directly to providers. It excludes core organisational costs, unrestricted charity grants, or non-medical needs lacking therapeutic benefit. Distinctively agile and responsive, Just4Children manages campaigns, secures discounts, advocates via media, and supports hundreds of cases annually with over £1.9m expenditure, filling systemic gaps holistically.
