Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust General Charitable Fund

The charity supports health-related causes that go beyond statutory NHS funding. Priority areas include patient-centred facilities and spaces, advanced medical equipment for diagnostics and treatment, clinical research, staff welfare and professional development, and enhancements to patient comfort and family support. Funding often supports capital projects such as ward refurbishments, including dementia care settings, cancer technology acquisitions, and breast cancer initiatives, as well as staff wellbeing programmes. All funds are used to benefit patients, families, and staff within the hospital and its surrounding communities, including areas such as Kingston-upon-Thames, Richmond, Roehampton, Putney, East Elmbridge, Merton, Surrey, Sutton, and Wandsworth.

Proposals are not sought from external organisations; the charity does not accept unsolicited applications. All funding requests must come from staff within Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, signed by the relevant fund holders, and align with the Trust's priorities. The charity benefits patients, families, and staff at the hospital and in surrounding communities. There is no religious restriction on support. External bodies or individuals seeking funding for outside causes would not be eligible to apply directly.

The charity does not fund core costs for external organisations, nor does it support activities that are the statutory responsibility of the NHS.
