Knowledge Schools Foundation Trust

The Trust funds targeted enrichment activities for pupils at Trust academies, including extra-curricular programmes, summer productions, musical events, books, educational equipment, sports facilities, academic competitions, school trips, and cultural visits. It also provides subsidies to enable disadvantaged pupils to participate in music, theatre, or outings. Grants typically support project-based co-curricular enhancements that remove barriers to diverse experiences, with examples including multi-use games areas, textbooks, trip subsidies, prizes, and guest speakers. Eligibility is strictly limited to individuals or groups connected to Knowledge Schools Trust schools, such as headteachers, staff, PTAs, parents, or pupils. Applicants must have endorsement from a headteacher, Local Governing Body chair, or CEO. The Trust prioritises pupil premium recipients to close the enrichment gap. No income or size restrictions apply, but applications must detail purpose, amount, impact, and need. Academic institutions outside the Trust are ineligible.

The Trust does not fund core costs, unrestricted support, or external charities. It does not accept unsolicited proposals from organisations outside its affiliated academies. Grants are solely for project-based co-curricular enhancements, not general operational expenses.
